4 Days Nyerere National Park Safari

Travel south toward Nyerere National Park and settle in before an afternoon boat safari on the Rufiji River, subject to water level and operator schedule. From the boat you can look for hippos, crocodiles and riverbank wildlife while enjoying a completely different perspective from a 4x4. Return before dark for dinner and a briefing on the following day's game drive.

Spend the day exploring Nyerere's wide network of tracks, lakes and riverine habitat. The park's scale means sightings are less predictable than in a compact reserve, but that is part of its appeal. Your guide will work the most productive areas for elephants, buffalo, giraffe, antelope and predators while keeping a realistic pace between sightings.

After breakfast, continue with the planned wildlife route. Your guide will adapt the drive to road conditions, animal movement and the pace that suits your group. The aim is to spend time at worthwhile sightings without turning the day into a race between parks.
