Enjoy a final Serengeti or highland game drive before traveling toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The road itself can be productive, especially across the open plains near Naabi Hill. On arrival in the highlands, settle into your lodge or camp near the crater rim or Karatu. The evening is kept easy because the next morning normally starts early for the crater descent.

An early start gives you more useful time on the Ngorongoro Crater floor.
