Day 1Moshi → Marangu Gate → Mandara area → Moshi
Register at Marangu Gate and hike through Kilimanjaro rainforest toward Mandara Hut. Depending on time, weather and fitness, continue a little farther for views toward Maundi Crater before turning around. This is not a summit climb, but it gives a real feel for the lower mountain environment. Descend to the gate and transfer back to Moshi.
