Day 1Arusha / Karatu → Ngorongoro Crater → return
Start very early because driving time is significant from Arusha. Descend to the crater floor for a full game drive across grassland, marsh and lake habitat, stopping for a picnic lunch. The crater supports dense resident wildlife, but black rhino sightings are never guaranteed. Climb back to the rim in the afternoon and return to Karatu or Arusha.
