Day 1Moshi → Londorossi / Shira Plateau → day hike → Moshi
Drive to Kilimanjaro’s western side and complete park formalities before continuing high toward the Shira Plateau. Hike in alpine terrain with views of Kibo when the weather is clear. Because the drive starts at a high elevation, altitude symptoms are more relevant than on a rainforest day hike; the guide keeps the walk conservative and can turn around early if needed. Return to Moshi the same day.
